After falling head over heels in love with Reagan Elliot, the perfect woman for him, Sinners’ rhythm guitarist, Trey Mills, vows to give up his bisexual ways forever. When an obsessed fan threatens Reagan, she hires her friend, Ethan, to protect her while on tour. Falling for his girlfriend’s bodyguard, a guy, was never on Trey's agenda. Will he have to choose between them, or can he have the best of both worlds? description taken from here.

I love Olivia's books so naturally when I finish one of her books I run to her website to see when the next one is coming out. I have been super excited for Trey's book, but I do have to admit to one thing...

When I first read the plot for DOUBLE TIME, I was naturally excited for the book to come out. But, the entire plot changed before the book was released and I am SO happy that it changed. This book is all the more amazing because of this new plot and I think it runs with the series better than what the book was originally told to be about.

If you have read Olivia's books before (and I hope you have because they are amazing) then you know that Trey is an "equal lover" as Brian puts it. Trey likes to play both sides and both sides are equally as amazing in this book.

In the beginning of the book, the reason Trey decides to give up guys forever is because he knows he can never have Brian (which we already know about if you have read the past books). When he meets Reagan, he naturally wants the gorgeous girl with the amazing guitar talent and he goes after her like he does with all women. The only difference is that Trey is genuinely interested in getting to know her and not just interested in getting her in bed. Of course, Trey's bisexual ways never truly went away and he can't stop thinking about Reagan's best friend, her bodyguard.

In case you are worried about the guy-on-guy scenes, don't be. To be perfectly honest, they are not too many scenes and they scenes that are there are not that detailed and don't last too long. If you are still worried about it, you can just skip the three or four pages that the scenes usually last. Now, my mother on the other hand (she's only 38) found that there were too many guy-on-guy scenes but I personally think she is crazy. Then again, she was never one for the bisexual material while I don't think anything of it. I loved the book and so did my mother regardless of what she thought of some of the sex scenes.

The only thing I can truly complain about is the fact that Trey's book is the 5th book in the series (if you are going in order and following Olivia's website. And yet, the book was released two books in advance (HOT TICKET and SNARED). The other guys' girls are mentioned in the book as well as a few things referencing to the other books which I wanted kept a secret until I had a chance to read the other books first.

HOT TICKET comes out in February of 2013 and SNARED comes out sometime in 2013 (the exact date is released on the website yet).

I still loved the book, but I was a little disappointed at the release dates.

Orpheus has just one goal: to rescue his brother from the Underworld. He’s not expecting a woman to get in the way. Especially not a Siren as gorgeous as Skyla. He has no idea she’s an assassin sent by Zeus to seduce, entrap, then ultimately destroy him.

Yet Skyla herself might have the most to lose. There’s a reason Orpheus feels so familiar to her, a reason why her body seems to crave him. Perhaps he’s not the man everyone thinks… The truth could reveal a deadly secret as old as the Eternal Guardians themselves. description taken from here.

You can read an excerpt on Naughton's website.

ENRAPTURED is the 4th book in the Eternal Guardians series. Before this book, the only other book in this series I have read was TEMPTED. (MARKED is the 1st book and ENTWINED is the 2nd.) When I read TEMPTED (which I say this book because it is the 3rd book in the series but the first one I have read), I wasn't confused with any of the plots or characters, so if you haven't previously read any of the books in the series, I wouldn't worry about it, you will understand it just fine.

I really enjoy this series. I met Orpheus in the previous book and he seemed like a scheming trouble-maker. But, even so, his character had a certain charm and I liked the way he interacted with the other characters. Because of this combination in his personality, I was excited to get my hands on his book and see more of his quirkiness. Skyla was as equal as appealing in character. Her personality was a great match for Orpheus and was fun to read about. The plot definitely kept my attention, and the attraction between Orpheus and Skyla was well written. I still haven't gotten around to picking up the other 2 previous books in the series, but I am going to keep following this series.

I love Terry Spear! I have read so many of her books and every one of them are great. Then again, I am a paranormal junkie, but that fact is that she writes amazing romances featuring some very hot werewolves. I think I've said it before in another one of Spear's reviews I did on another one of her books, but when I see a Terry Spear book in the book store, I pick it up because I know it will be amazing. I don't need to read the back cover, I just know it will be good so I pick it up and take it to the register.

A SEAL in Wolf's Clothing was great, but then again, I'm partial to the "battle-hardened" (as the book calls it) men, which is what the main male character is. As always with Spear, the characters were well written, the plot kept my interest and the romance was as cute as can be (and with a bit of steam too!).

Once again, Carolyn Brown out did herself with this new cowboy romance. I love this series and each one I read just seems to get better.

I love how Jasmine marries Ace to help out her best friend, but you can tell right away that they are made for each other. The main characters are great, but I have also always loved the more minor characters in Brown's books. This is why I love her writing style, you just don't see it everyday. The way she writes makes you fall in love with all of the characters, not just the main ones. And, while the main characters are there, she writes in a way that makes the minor characters feel to be on an equal level as the main characters. That right there is what makes me keep coming back to her books, because she makes me fall in love with all of the characters which then makes me waiting for the next book in the series to come out so I can read about another one of the characters that I already love fall in love.

I cannot wait for the next book in the series (Spikes and Spurs) to come out so I can read about Lucy and Tyson. This is a MUST book if you are a cowboy fan!

Spikes and Spurs series reading order...

Love Drunk Cowboy
Red's Hot Cowboy
One Hot Cowboy Wedding
A PRINCE AMONG MEN

Carla Reece had never met anyone more infuriating in her life. The blond giant who swaggered up to her door had no right to take over half her ranch - no matter how stupid her brother had been gambling it away in a high-stakes poker game. Still, a year was way too long to spend with a man who made her madder than a wet hen and weak in the knees all at the same time.

A HELLION AMONG WOMEN

Ivan may have charmed everyone in town into thinking he was the perfect gentleman, but Carla knew better.
Texas Pride is the 5th book in the Night Riders series.

This is the first Night Riders book I have gotten my hands on, and I do think it would have been a bit better if I had read the previous 4 books from the series. That said, it was still a wonderful western romance. The characters were strong and well written and the plot kept my attention, but one thing that I noticed about Greenwood's writing is that he really conveys the emotions in his characters, and that was something I really loved. I liked Ivan's character, but it was Carla that I have to favor. Her stubbornness to be independent and strong was something I really liked (even if she sometimes did go about in some wrong ways).

I would like to continue reading the series (from the start!) and if you enjoy cowboys, then you should like this book as well. (I say "should" because this book is set in the Post-Civil War era and I'm not sure what your tastes are on that).
Secret Thoughts is the second book in the Victoria Wilde series, which follows the escapades, lusts, and loves of the gorgeous and sexy Victoria Wilde and her friends. The stories are connected but can be read on their own.

As Victoria's first monogamous relationship in more than two years falls apart, Jillian struggles to break the news to her son Rob of her secret romance with his best friend Brian Nash. Brian has his own issues introducing Jillian to his off-the-wall, super strict parents who don't even attempt to hide their contempt for the older woman they feel is corrupting their firstborn son. During the visit, Brian, Jillian and Brian's younger brother Jim, learn an eye-opening secret about the Nash parents. The discovery sends them all scurrying back to Miami where Victoria, who's in desperate need of a casual relationship, finds Brian's sexy, but innocent college senior brother to be just what the doctor ordered. But when Jim comes on a little too seriously, will Victoria lose her interest and return to her life of casual fun or will things get even more complicated? description taken from here.

I thought the book was the perfect mix of sexy and funny. The raw lust and sex scenes are still there, with just the added bonus of some comedy. I would laugh so hard at times and at others, just enthralled by the way Dalton writes his novels.

There is a good amount of the Jillian/Brian romance in the book, but the book also has more of Victoria, which is awesome, because I just love her character. Jim, Brian's younger brother, is a great character and Dalton created a great personality when he brought Jim into the book.

The plot was great and I didn't see the twist coming at the end of the book, which of course had me foaming at the mouth for the next book in the series to find out what happened next.

Alicia Greiston is a no-nonsense bounty hunter determined to bring a ring of mobsters to justice. Her dogged pursuit of the crime family has forced her to avoid relationships— any man would only become a target for retribution. Luckily, Jake Silver is more than a man, and his instincts are telling him to stop at nothing to protect her.

AN ANIMAL PASSION...

However, the mob isn't entirely human either, and soon Alicia must flee for her life. When Alicia and Jake's passion begins to spill over into their dreams, Jake learns he will have to do more than defend her— he'll have to show his mate the way of the wolf. description taken from here.

I love every Terry Spear book I have read. Dreaming of the Wolf was wonderful, and if you like paranormal romances, then you should really enjoy this book.

Like all of Spear's books, Dreaming of the Wolf also has the great character development, plot and romances that we will always know come with her books. There were a few twists and turns and a sweet romance that starts at first sight.

Raylen O'Donnell is one smokin' cowboy. He could have any woman he wants, but he's never been able to forget a certain dark-haired girl who disappeared from his life. So when she suddenly returns to the ranch next door, Raylen's not fixing to let her get away again . . .
And She's Out For a Sizzlin' Christmas

Raised in a traveling carnival, Lizelle Hanson thought all she wanted was a house that didn't have wheels and a sexy cowboy for her very own. But when settling down's going to take some getting used to, and catching Raylen, the hotter-than-hell cowboy next door, might just take a little holiday magic. . . description taken from here.

This is the 3rd book in the Spikes and Spurs series. 1st book is Love Drunk Cowboy and the 2nd is Red's Hot Cowboy. The next book in the series is called One Hot Cowboy Wedding and is set to hit the shelves April 2012 with 3 more books following that.

First off I have to say that I just love Carolyn Brown's writing! I have a few of her cowboy books and I love each and every one of them. When I see a book by her, I can pick it up without reading the back blurb because I already know that I going to love it. (It doesn't hurt that I love cowboys too!) ; )

I loved the main characters, but I also fell for the others that were involved in the story. They each have their own parts and personalities to the point that you cannot wait for them to have their own book. The whole O' Donnell family is so wonderful that it makes a girl want a family like that for herself.

I will absolutely recommend this book to anyone who loves romance novels. It is a great book!
In the middle of a very inconvenient London snowstorm, Sophie finds herself stuck with an abandoned baby, and only the assistance of handsome stranger Vim Charpentier standing between her and complete disaster...

Vim Charpentier's worst memories are of Christmases spent with family in Kent, so when he has an excuse to tarry for a few days in London, he willingly lends a hand helping Sophie and her new little charge become acquainted. The growing attraction he shares with Sophie warms both their spirits, but when Sophie's three brothers arrive (from the East) to whisk her away, Vim has to decide between facing his memories, or letting the Christmas gift of a lifetime slip through his fingers. description taken from here.

I really enjoyed Lady Sophie's Christmas Wish, Burrowes was so descriptive when writing about the baby, that I fell in love with even this small character. The rest of the characters as well were also wonderfully well written and very likable. I liked seeing a man (Vim) being so calm and knowing around a baby, it was refreshing; especially so as Sophie didn't know how to care for a baby.

The story line was very cute and the romance felt heartfelt. Great book!
Ellen Markham tells herself she's happy raising flowers and living in near penury in the Oxfordshire countryside, but when Valentine Windham moves in just on the other side of the wood, Ellen's longing for things she can never have threatens to overcome her good sense. Valentine's artistic soul, tender loving, and ducal determination tempt Ellen to trust and confide in a man who can only be endangered, should he learn of her past. For Valentine, regaining his musical skill becomes far less urgent than winning Ellen's heart. description taken from here.

I thought this was a cute story. Both of the characters had their own issues (Ellen a young widow and Val having an injury making him unable to play the piano), and they thought that their love could never last. The piano was the one thing that Val thought he could ever love and fill his life with purpose. Come to find out, it seems that Val can love something more than just music and his life can still be filled with purpose.

The story had great characters and a nice bit of drama to keep the story line interesting. I always enjoy Burrowes writing, and The Virtuoso was no exception.
He's considerably less than thrilled to see the girl that broke his heart - especially when Lacey turns up on his door step asking for help.

As the two grapple with the ruins of their former friendship, a brand new, surprising attraction ignites. Lacey is boldly beginning to create a new life for herself. And, Chase has to admit, he's rather be part of that life than be left out in the cold alone... description taken from back cover.

I love these types of plots! Guy likes girl. Girl never knows. Girl falls for guy down the road. I especially like them when the guy is rough around the edges, like Chase is with his hardened heart.

I liked Lacey's character (as well as Chase's). They were well written and I enjoyed reading them and about their romance. And, of course, I liked the drama! Lacey had been a trophy wife and had never been able to go after the goals she had made when younger. Chase's family had gotten cheated out of their farm by Lacey's husband (now ex-husband). Lacey's ex's vicious minions are after her as well. All of this made for good drama.

The romance was very cute, but I don't want to give too much away, so I'm just going to say that I very much enjoyed it. The book was great, and it will be a good re-read that will be waiting on the shelf for me.
Her determination to break free from captivity is exceeded only by the passion growing between her and the Highland Laird. David Campbell plans to hold Isabelle for ransom as an easy way to line his pockets and return her back where she belongs, but he is unprepared for a feisty English lass with a penchant for finding trouble. Caught between rival clans bent on claiming the throne of Scotland, Campbell must choose a side, and a bride. Standing on the brink of war, Isabelle may be his only hope to save his clan, and his heart. description taken from here.

This is the 2nd book in Amanda Forester's Highlanders series. The first is called The Highlander's Sword, and the 3rd book in the series called True Highland Spirit will be coming out in March of 2012.

Lady Isabelle was wed to a mean older man, and now she is trying to get an annulment. She starts her journey here, running from her husband, only to find out that she can't hide out at her uncle's because he is now dead, and then be captured by a highland brute. Of course, we all know that heroins (as well as us, the readers) always fall for the brute, especially if they have a Scottish accent.

I thought the book was great. My attention was held the entire time, and I had some trouble putting the book down (which is not good for my sleeping habits!). The mix between romance and drama/action was awesome and I think it is pretty safe to safe that I loved this book. It doesn't hurt that the cover is pretty too though, does it? ; )

When the powerful demon that left Shay for dead discovers her empty grave, he comes seeking retribution, believing she possesses an ancient book he has sought for centuries. Knowing she can’t fight the demon alone, Shay returns to her clan and the Scottish Warrior who betrayed her…the only man she’s ever loved, where she discovers that betrayal isn’t always what it seems. Sometimes it’s far worse.

This was a great book! The characters were well developed and are very likable. There was a lot of great detail throughout the book, as well as filled with bunches of excitement and romance. I had a hard time putting this book down to do anything else during my day (I never wanted the book to end!).

I really liked that along with men being warriors in the book, there are women warriors as well. It was a refreshing change. I cannot wait for the next book in the series!

The first book in the series is called Awaken the Highland Warrior, and you can click here to read my review.

The 3rd book in the series is Unleash The Highland Warrior (coming Spring 2012)

Here is a blurb of it from the author's website:

A talisman belonging to Tavis Connor’s brother is the only weapon powerful enough to kill the demon hell-bent on stealing the clan’s Book of Battles so he can destroy the world. But the talisman has been locked in a time vault with Tavis’s brother and won’t open for 150 years. In desperation, the Scottish warrior breaks the clan’s sacred rules and uses another time vault to travel forward so he can protect the book and rescue his brother, or if he’s dead, finish his quest. But when Tavis finally wakes in modern-day New York, he discovers he’s the one in need of help. Anna MacKinley has been searching for her clan’s Book of Battles which has been missing for 150 years, but instead she finds a warrior with no memories who claims he’s come to save the world.

I deem this book recommendable!

I really liked TEMPTED. The characters were like able and well developed. The romance was very cute, and the plot had action and some shockers that kept me reading. It was a really good story line if I do say so myself. Demetrius likes Isadora, his soul mate, but he needs to keep her at arm's length so he is mean to her to keep her away. Isadora thinks he hates her, but when he starts to show his sweet side she starts to fall for the big guy. This is one of those plots that I love, that I will always love, the kind that I will always have a soft side for. Anywho, I really liked the book, that's what I'm trying to say here.
Brian Nash is a tennis-obsessed, college senior who’s unlucky in love and the roommate and best friend of Jillian’s son, Rob. After Brian learns he's being manipulated by a college love, Rob offers him a spring break escape to his home in Miami. There Brian meets the surprisingly young and also tennis passionate Jillian, and their shared interest quickly develops into an intense mutual attraction. As they struggle to fight their feelings, they develop a unique super intimate, yet non-physical connection that provides Jillian with the inspiration to write again while erasing Brian’s brokenhearted funk. Will the lonely pair continue with this distinctive relationship, actually explore their passion or will they discover all of it is a really bad idea?

It was full of fun and sex. It had emotional parts that really made me love the characters and was funny too. I don't know how many times I would have to smother my laughter so that I didn't wake the whole house up (and I mean that literally).

I loved both Jillian and Brian, they were so amazing as individual characters, and as a couple in the book. Victoria didn't have a very big role in the book, but I got to see a new side of Victoria, which I really enjoyed seeing. She was more fun-loving, carefree, and slutty in this book, and that made for a very fun character. I had to laugh at some of things she said and did, and especially Jillian's reactions to some of them.

While I already said I adore Jillian, Brian's character is my favorite. He is just so cute, both on his own and with Jillian. He leans a bit more on the shy side and is portrayed to be more of a gentleman (plus he cooks!).
If we didn't, I wouldn't be writing about the books I love, and you wouldn't be looking at my blog. Right? I buy my books at numerous places, both at online book stores and in stores there are many places I go to get my books. I have a new favorite place to find my books, and I think you guys will like it too because it lists for you the books you want and low prices of where to buy them online.

The website is called Canadapost.ca and I thought it was pretty easy to navigate. It literally took me 3 clicks to find the romance section, and I think I might have started drooling a little, I was so excited, when the first 2 books were both new releases by Sherrilyn Kenyon (you all know I love her books!). Yeah, I know I already have those books, but it just excited me to know that they have good books on the site.

P.C. Cast, Nora Roberts, Jean Johnson (from her new series!), Lora Leigh.... And that was just on the first page. 34 more pages of hot books to go through. Yep, I'm in love. The Sherrilyn Kenyons I was talking about (just so you get an idea of the prices), they are both hardcover, and NO MERCY, her newest Dark Hunter book is under $9. I paid close to $20 for my copy! Are you seeing why I think I'm in love? : )

I really liked A DASH OF SCANDAL. I didn't know, however, that it had previously been published in 2002. That said, some of you might have already read the book, being that it has already been on the market for some years now. I have to say though, I really like the new cover, it's much more vibrant and attractive.

I thought the plot was great. I had read a historical a while back, though I cannot remember what it is called, that has a girl wandering around the rich types at a party sneaking to look for information. A DASH OF SCANDAL reminded me somewhat of that book, which I also enjoyed reading.

The characters were nice, I liked them. I love rakes (what girl doesn't). And our hero is a gorgeous rake, something you cannot resist in a romance novel.

Overall -- I enjoyed reading Grey's story. It was a cute romance and recommendable.

As soon as I started the book I knew I liked Greyson's writing style. Her characters are well formed and the introduction of the characters in the beginning I found to be humorous. I didn't really know what to expect when dealing with a mix of modern and old fairy tale, but I was interested since the very start. The "Sleeping Beauty" is named Emma. She isn't so much a sleeping beauty though unless you call a young, pretty girl in a thousand year old coma a 'Sleeping Beauty'. From the back cover description of the book, I expected more of a "true" fairy tale characters, which made we wonder if it would mix well. But, because Greyson wrote the characters in the way she did, with characters based off of the idea of the original fairy tale characters, it worked beautifully.

Blackstone is our hero in UTTERLY CHARMING. He is the gorgeous wizard that women stop on the sidewalk when he walks by and starts drooling. Blackstone first seems handsome, easy going, calm and cool. Later on though, he shows these vulnerabilities, going from sure and cocky to looking somewhat helpless and sad, that made him more endearing in my opinion.

Nora is a good character. Blackstone is a strike of luck for Nora, who was going broke quick, her own law practice not working as well as she was hoping it would. Blackstone offered her a huge sum of money to basically do nothing, and with that money, Nora started to thrive.

Ten years later, after the introductions are made, the action, drama and (or not-so-much-yet) romance starts.

I liked the book.
Unleashed is the 1st book in Humphreys' Amoveo Legacy. After checking out the author's website, I found out that the next book, Untouched, will be out in April 2012. The website also mentions to stay tuned for information about the 3rd, 4th, and 5th books in the series, which I hope to see soon.

I though Unleashed was a really cute paranormal romance. I liked Humphreys writing style, the story line was great, the characters were well written and the romance was there. I loved the way that Malcolm and Sam were drawn together. They just knew that they fit together, that they belonged. Malcolm was especially endearing (but then again, as women, we always tend to like the male leads more than the female leads).

I can't wait to see more of her shape shifters in her next books, so here's hoping that some of her other books also come out in 2012.
And vicar's daughter Kate Blakely needs a job -- and fast -- before she gives in to the tempting presence of her first love! description taken from here.

THE WEDDING AFFAIR was a cute book. I was hooked from the very beginning. I loved the characters, Duke and Olivia; they were adorable. The characters were well developed as well as the romantic ties between the characters were, those ties were very heartfelt. The plot was great, I simply love story lines like these!

I enjoyed this book, it was a nice light read. Leigh Michaels is a wonderful author. You can see more of her books on her website. She has a newly released book (that sounds really cute!) that came out in July called JUST ONE SEASON IN LONDON.

Alec MacQuarrie's after life has become an endless search for pleasure in an effort to overcome his shame and despair. Wandering through the seed world of London's demimonde, he's changed into a dark and fearsome creature even he doesn't recognize...

But the ton is no match for one incorrigible young lady...

After watching each of her coven sisters happily marry, Sorcha Ferguson is determined to capture a supernatural husband of her very own. Then she finds herself embroiled in an atrocious scandal and has to bring herself to heel more mystical gentleman than she knows what to do with...

Over his dead body is Alec going to allow this lovely, radiant innocent to throw herself away on an unworthy cad, but that leaves him responsible for her, and he's the worst monster of all... taken from the back of the book.

Vampires, Lycans, witches, oh my! I love this series. NEVER BEEN BIT is the 7th book in the series. The characters are all great and I just love each and every one of them. The story was really cute and very funny. Alec has to keep bailing Sorcha out of her mess-ups, which makes for funny spurts in the story. Sorcha thinks that she wants a werewolf like her coven sisters, but somewhere along the way she figures out that a werewolf just doesn't compare to her vampire, Alec.

Once I picked up the book, I couldn't put it down. This series is wonderful, and this book on it's own was great.

The series is called Regency Werewolf. Read about the books here- http://www.lydiadare.com/Books.html
