Building a Book Boyfriend- I Like 'em Dirty!

"We all have our favourite book boyfriends and now you have the chance to create one just for yourself and your fantasies! How do you play? Fill out the quiz below, post a picture of a sexy man and tag five (5) other book addicts to do the same. Don't forget to pop to their blogs as let them know they have been tagged! Once tagged... you have to do the same, grab the button, answer the questions, and keep it rolling! But don't forget the picture of the sexy man! It doesn't have to match your fantasy man, just a little eye candy for the rest of us... heheheee!"- The Gutter Girls-

Fiction Vixen, instead of tagging, said to grab the MeMe if you wanted to play.  Well, what girl doesn't like to play? ;)

*Favorite Hair Colour and Style
I love dark hair on guys!  Something shaggy that I can run my hands through and really tug at.

*Eye Colour and Facial Features
Green or blue eyes are gorgeous but not a requirment.  Brown eyes can be beautiful too.  No facial hair please (totally not a fan!).  Full lips are alwasy a plus too, though not so big they are feminine..

*Height & Body Type
Taller than me!  I'm 5'5" so that shouldn't be too difficult but around 6'3" is an ideal height..  I like stocky guys.  Not fat, chunky or overly muscular, just kinda stocky.  Think wide shoulders and wide chest, with a waist not overly tapered.  Thick arms and thighs (yep, I'm a thigh girl! LOL)..  Mmmm.. love me some "V" lines as well.. Totally makes my mouth water..  I love tattoos, the more the merrier.  Piercings are ok, but certainly not required. :)

*Visable Age
Nothing overly young.  Late 20s to early/mid 30s work just fine with me!

*Bangability (kinky/bi/size)
No bi.  I like my men strait, strictly woman and all alpha male :)  Kinky?  Hell to the yes.  Give me some BD anytime.  Don't know what I'm talking about?  Leave a comment, I'll fill you in...  I'm going to take a page from Fiction Vixen's book and quote (because I just can't say it any better than she already did) "My book boyfriend must not be shy about “taking matters into his own hands” so to speak."  Well, since we are creating fantasy men.. not too big but certaintly not too small.

*Human or Other?
Ok, hardest question yet..  Fangs are unthinkably sexy.  I would love to be nibbled (LMAO)  but I would also love a werewolf to ravage me a bit extra once (or a couple times..) every full moon.  Hmm..I'll say human he has superhuman stamina.

*Paranormal Skills
Super strength and flashing us place to place.  No more carbon footprints!

*Interests
Traveling (with me)
 me
food (oh, the fun you can have with food! haha)
 cars
 getting dirty
 getting clean

 *Special Skills
Is handy with a knife (or throwing stars..think Black Dagger Brotherhood boys)
Is handy with a rope, or you know, handcuffs work too ;)
and
Can fix anything (because he can not because his ego calls for it!)

Picture Time!!!
And, because I love you guys, I shall give you some wonderful eye candy.  Just, try not to drool on the computer screen, yeah?

Alright, so I too am not going to tag (I don't want to make anyone feel left out!)  So, anyone who wants to play, grab the MeMe and go!

Until Next Time,
Happy Reading!

New Features and Things to Look For..

Ok, I am a bit behind in my reviews.  Between work and college, the free time I have has been "me" time.  You know, sleeping, eating, sleeping some more, etc.  Anyways, my days are beyond booked this week, it is seriously crazy!  So, as soon as I can I will have my posts up.  I have 2 reviews ready but no time to type, so here is a short little post with what will be coming up, including some new reviews to be watching for, and new contests and dates for when those will hit SWR.

First, look under my header!  SWR has some new features!  From now on, if you need to contact me for something, you will be using a contact form.  There is an "About Me" page if you care enough to read ;)  and some other goodies to check out.

Second, the reviews to be coming up (hopefully by next Friday):

  • Pleasure Of A Dark Prince by Kresley Cole
  • The Devil Wears Tartan by Karen Ranney
And, Giveaways to hit the blog shortly, and dates of when they will start:
  • To Sin With A Scoundrel by Cara Elliott  (March 2nd)
  • Laura Rider's Masterpiece by Jane Hamilton  (sometime in March, date is not finalized)
  • This One Is Mine by Maria Semple  (March 24th)

So, there is our little schedual.  I will finalize the date soon for Jane's book.  Don't forget to check out my other blog, K & K's, which also hosts giveaways and reviews.  At the moment, there are 3 giveaways going on over there and another one to start up at the end of March!

Until Next Time,

Review: Gentlemen Prefer Succubi by Jill Myles

Jackie Brighton woke up in a Dumpster this morning, and her day has only gotten weirder. Her familiar B-cups have somehow become double Ds, her sex drive is insatiable, and apparently she had her fi rst one-night stand ever...with a fallen angel. All she remembers is gorgeous Noah's oddly hypnotic blue eyes...and then a dark stranger whose bite transformed her into an immortal siren with a sexy Itch. With help from Noah, Jackie begins to adapt to her new lifestyle -- until she accidentally sends Noah into the deadly clutches of the vampire queen and lands herself in a fi erce battle for an ancient halo with the queen's wickedly hot righthand man. Who just happens to be the vampire who originally bit her. How's a girl supposed to save the world when the enemy's so hard to resist?

This was a really funny book!  Great fun and a great plot!  Loved it and I cannot wait to get the next book in the Succubusses Diaries series!

Review: Dare To Surrender by Lilli Feisty

Art gallery curator Joy Montgomery has never liked her body's generous curves. And she's always been too shy to explore her wild side. But tonight, everything is going to change . . . Desperate to save her job, Joy approaches bad-boy artist Ash Hunter and asks him to exhibit his erotic work at her gallery. Ash agrees on one condition: Joy must pose as his model. But business soon turns to pleasure, as Joy experiences a passion beyond her wildest imaginings and Ash finds more than just inspiration in his voluptuous new muse.

Dare To Surrender was a good book. It was the first Lillie Feisty book I’ve ever read. I really liked her main female character. She was real and she wasn’t afraid to get a little dirty even though she was very innocent. She wasn’t stuck up and she didn’t act like an idiot. She seemed very real and I really appreciated her character.

The male main character, Ash Hunter, was written very well too. He was very dominant and I liked that aspect. As an erotic artist, his personality shone very forward. This helped make the book run faster, which kept me intrigued and on the edge of my seat.
All in all, I really like this and would happily recommend it to anyone.

Review: Love in 90 Days by Diana Kirschner, PhD

We all love to read Romance.  But, what about finding real romance in our real lives?  Love in 90 Days started as a program to help women who were in slumps to find love.  Now, Diana Kirschner has written a book on it, titled Love in 90 Days.
As the title implies, the program (wether you do with just the book or her actual program) takes 90 days (or 3 months).  Now, let me start out saying that this book is not for me.  This is because I am 18.  The book is geared towards women in their late 20s and up.
Even though the book is not geared towards me, it was very intesresting to read.  While there was no sex scenes, yummy men, or fun plots to read about; the book did have useful information.
    Love in 90 Days includes:
  • stories about her own life so you feel as if she (Diana) does actually know how you feel!
  • realistic homework to get you out there
  • exercises that get you to think about yourself and how you act
  • great sounding advice and tips
  • And is very realistic!
The Love in 90 Days program encourages you to lean on "love mentors" or friends who will be there for you when you need them.  It shows you how to catagorize guys into "workable" or "unworkable", and is broken up into 3 parts (by the month) to make it very easy to follow.

While reading, I decided to do some of the written exercises to see if they made me think any differently.  One of the exercises I did was to name 5 people I would want to be stranded on a desert island with and why.  The why brings out the qualities you want to find in a person.  Here is what I came up with:
  • He has to be:  laid back, entertaining yet serious, knows how to cook/foodie, able to have a real, comfortable conversation with and understand me through it, and I have to be able to find him sexualy attractive.
Now, I am single.  Sometimes I absolutly love it.  Other times, maily when I'm weepy, I get sad.  So, the other excerise I did is to help you find out why you are not dating at the moment.  Here is what I came up with this excerise:
  • "Because I love my indepence too much.  I don't want to be tied down having to do things I don't want to do, go places I'm not interested in, and always being stuck on the phone." - me late at night during one of my rants.
If you want to try this program, which I actually would recommend after reading the book, here is all the information:

  • You can get the book in Hardcover, Paper back, or ebook format.
  • ISBN #  9781599951225
  • Here the Amazon.com link to buy the HC book (with reviews on the bottom of the page!!!)

And, you can watch a really cute Love in 90 Days bootcamp video here.

Review: Elijah by Jacquenlyn Frank

Elijah is the third book in Jacquelyn Frank's Nightwalker Series.  The Nightwalkers are a group of different races outside of the race human.  Demons, Shapeshifters, Druids, Vampires, Shadowdwellers and many others run wild in the same world unknowing humans do.
Elijah is a demon. Demons are a very emotional and sexual race.  They also are born within a special element (example: Mind Demons, Earth Demons, Wind Demons, Fire Demons, etc.)  Elijah is a wind demon.  He can control the weather and turn himself, and others he touches, into nothing but the wind; a cool form of traveling if I do say so myself.
Ambushed by an evil demon and her minons, Elijah is left for dead when Siena finds him. Siena is a Lycanthrope (a shapeshifter).  Actually, she is the Queen of her race.
After the pair get physical, they find out they are mates.  Siena is scared to death.  She doesn't want to give up her thrown to a man!  But Elijah doesn't want her power, just her.
They work it out, of course, but the book tells how they did so, and by the way.. What will happen to the evil demon?  Read and find out!

This is my third Jacquelyn Frank novel I have read. The woman is very consistent in her writting. There is always a slow spot in her books, making me want to stop, but rewarding me at the end when I finish the book with a fabulous ending.  The begining was slow.  It picked up for about 15 pages then dropped off again.  It did get better however and had a very cute ending.  Extreamly hot book!

Weres, Demons, and Vamps, Oh My!

Wow, I just decided to check out the poll I had going on what paranormal creature you like more.  Vampires won in a landslide with 75% of the votes!  Angels and Demons came in a tie at 8.3% and seems like you guys like Succubi too.

Personally, I like Demons and Vampires myself..  So, now I have to know: Do you tend to read books with your favorite creatures, or are you not picky?

Random 10 Question Form

Results are in...

So, I got a bit of mixed results from my "MeMe or No MeMe" poll.  Some said yes, others said no.  One person commented that they never read them.  I bring this up because, I too don't read a lot of MeMes.  A few of them are cute, but a lot I tend to skip just because I don't have the time to see what everyone has recieved in their Mailbox (no offense, there just are not enough hours in a day for me!)
Because of this, I willl not have "In My Mailbox" days and such.  But, I will have two different MeMes, short ones I can make time for, and vary week to week so you guys won't get bored with them.
   What are they?

Music Mondays
&
Random 10

Music Mondays: I will post a song that either expresses my mood, is stuck in my head or is my favorite song at the moment.  In return you guys can comment and tell me how bad my music taste is ;) and tell me what your song of the moment is.

Random 10: Depending on how busy I am, I might shorten it fewer than 10, but it will basically be 10 random questions that you and I will both answer for the fun of it.  I'm not going to assign it to a particular day, but will have it randomly placed someday in every week.  Every week I will have a new poll up where you can suggest random questions to be in the Random 10.  If your question get's picked, then I will let you have 2 extra entries in any occuring contest on my either of blogs.

I will post a poll in the next few minutes and it will run for a few days.  You can submit as many questions as you can possibly think of, but please try to come up with something fun and creative.  :)

MeMes will start on Monday with Music Monday.
Until Next Time,
Happy Reading!

I really want to share this with you guys!

I'm currently reading (for a future review for SWR) Love in 90 Days by Diana Kirchner, PhD.  No doubt you have seen reviews and giveaways on it lately on other blogs.  If you need a reminder, here is a picture of the cover:

I got this in the mail a few days ago and really haven't been able to put it down since I opened the first page.  It is very interesting to read.  Now, as a nearly 18 year old, this book isn't particularly geared towards my age.  But, it has very interesting information, tips, and so that any age can use.

Anyways, what I wanted to share:  I got to this page in the book, and, while a few things before it I could relate to and completly understand, this hit me hard.  It was so beautiful, and I really want to share it with you.  So, quoting from page 179-180:  (This is an "autobiography in 5 short chapters" about "Ditching Deadly Dating Patterns Forever")

" Chapter 1
I walk down the street.
There is a deep hole in the sidewalk.
I fall in.
I am lost... I am helpless.
It is not my fault.
It takes forever to find my way out.
Chapter 2
I walk down the same street.
There is a deep hole in the sidewalk.
I pretend I don't see it.
I fall in.
I can't believe I am in the same place.
But it isn't my fault.
Chapter 3
I walk down the same street.
There is a deep hole in the sidewalk.
I see it there.
I still fall in... It's a habit.
But my eyes are open.
I know where I am.
It is my fault.
I get out immediatly.
Chapter 4
I walk down the same street.
There is a deep hole in the sidewalk.
I walk around it.
Chapter 5
I walk down another street.  "

Like I said, for some reason, this totally spoke to me, and it was gorgeous.  I just had to share it.  Later on, as soon as I'm dont with the review, I will post a full review.

Until Next Time,
Happy Reading!

Quick Question! MeMe or no MeMe?

Please fill out this quick form. I've been debating MeMes for some time, so now I'm putting it in your hands. MeMe or no MeMe?
