Review: Seduce Me In Shadow

Seduce Me In Shadow is the 2nd book in Shayla Black's Doomsday Brethern series.  It is 376 pages, and comes in a mass marketed paperback format (which is the smaller, cheaper paperbacks!).                                                                         Seduce Me In Shadow features the (current) human Caden, Lucan's younger, untransitioned brother, who is about to go through the change of human to wizard.  Caden came back into town (ok, well actually cam back into the country..) when Lucan became wild with mate morning.  While he is there taking care of his unworkable-Doomsday-soldier-of-a-brother, Bram, the Doomsday Brethern leader needs Caden, the only trustable guy able to use a human cover, to help him find the Doomsday diary, which was stolen by Bram's own mate.               Unable to say no, Caden goes undercover as a photographer for a crazy newspaper who writes about aliens, ghosts of celebrities visiting the living, and the wizards' very own war.  While working at the paper, Caden becomes madly in lust with one red-headed reported called Sydney.                                                                                   Sydney desires the gorgeous ex-marine for sure, but she's also sure he doesn't return her attentions.  Boy, is she ever wrong.  When Sydney gets a special book from her co-worker, said to bring one's sexual fantasies to life, Sydney thought it was just a bunch of bull.  But the book is really the Doomsday Diary, able to make sexual fantasies, and a lot more, to life.  Sydney decides to write in the small red book, about none other than Mr. Hottie himself, Caden MacTavish.  Caden, in turn, goes to Sydney's house to knock down the door, into the wall, and into Sydney herself.  Save to say, the book works for human women as well.

     I don't want to give much more away, but Caden is hestitent to be in any relationship because of his brother's condition, but Sydney doesn't want to take 'no' for an answer.  In the middle of the wizarding world's war, can Sydney survive?  Can her heart?
