Review: Sold To A Laird by Karen Ranney

I love Historical Romances!  They are adorable, and I have to admit, there is a factor squeezed in there that totally captures my heart.
Don't ask me why, because I don't know why, but I love reading historicals about women who'se fathers sell them off to a man they have never met.  I know, I sound terribly weird, but I like how they never give up.  The women are strong and brave and don't put up with the guy's bull shit.  Maybe that's why I like reading them... Hmm... Hahaha!

Sold To A Laird was remarkably cute!  The ending was so adorable I was smiling ear to ear.  Karen Ranney did a wonderful job when she wrote this Historical!
Sold To A Laird is about a man named Douglas.  Douglas is a Scotts, a self-made man who is living in England.  He has discovered a way to make dimonds and wants others to invest in his process.  His first stop is the duke's house.
The Duke is a cruel man, as well as a poor man, though no ones knows it.  When Douglas tells him about his project, he wants to invest, to become rich again!  But, how do you invest when you have no money?  You sell your daughter to the man!
Sarah is a beautiful girl.  She is sweet and oh so proper.  When Douglas first saw her, he was smitten.  He had to have her!  Good thing dear old dad wants them to marry...

I loved this book.  It was so adorable and is definetly staying on my shelf.  A bit more than the first half of the book is just about the evolving of Sarah and Douglas's relationship.  Only a few sex scenes.  If you are not big on sex scenes, or want to try romance books and ween yourself into it, this would be a good book to start with.
